The distilled tall oils are customized, each is designed for specific applications around rosin content, poly-unsaturation, and mono-unsaturation.

 

IOP Oleochemcials division produces a variety of Oleotall distilled tall oil products designed specifically for use in variety of applications, especially metal workings and lubricants. It’s comprised of rosin acids and fatty acids with typical rosin acid range of 20 – 40%, depending on application.

 

Oleotall R30-5 is commonly used as a co-emulsifier in soluble and semi-synthetic metal working formulations.  It also find use as a mould release agents (10% in formulation) for concrete and clay products when mixed with non-polar solvents such as diesel (90%).

Oleotall products provides craws on metal surfaces and acts as an excellent dispersant for cuttings.

 

Rosin acids increase bio-resistance in metal working formulations compared to fatty acids, reducing the need of adding bioactivity agents.

Liquid vegetable fatty acids and tall oil fatty acids are unsaturated fatty acid (linoleic acids & oleic acid) are derived from renewable sources and are a source of low boiling point fatty acids widely used in various types of derivatives.

 

Our fatty acid derivatives are a reaction between fatty acid and among others polyols, glycols, mono-alcohols, amines, and many others. These are used for variety of applications.

 

OleoAmide 130 is a fatty amide non-ionic surfactant produced from the reaction of fatty acids with diethanolamine. It is further formulated to contain 26 – 32% free total amine. When formulated in aqueous products OleoAmide 130 will provide anti-corrosive and good lubricity properties.

Oleotall C21-DA is a C21 di-carboxylic acid derived from  customized fatty acid blends  from renewable crop sources , it is also known as (2-cyclohexene-1-octanoic acid or 5(or 6)-carboxy-4-hexyl-).  It finds its use in many applications including corrosion inhibitors, emulsifiers, soaps and detergents, etc.
