Oleochem CTO

Crude Tall Oil (CTO)

 

Crude tall oil is a by-product stream derived from the Kraft pulping process of softwoods to produce paper pulp.  Its rosin content  ranges between 40 -50% and then to crystallize and settle. Crude tall oil comprises a combination of fatty acids (largely C18 chain-length), rosin and neutral matter and finds use in cost-effective emulsifier formulations.

 

Oleochem CTO 28 and Oleochem CTO 33 are selected stocks of Crude tall oil by-product stream s with 28% and 33% rosin acids respectively. They are both derived from the Kraft pulping process of softwoods to produce paper pulp.

Oleochem 120 is a crop-based acid oil comprising of linoleic and oleic acids as major fatty acids. It  finds application in cost-effective emulsifier formulations.

Tall oil pitch is a by-product stream derived from the fractional distillation of crude tall oil. It comprises a combination of fatty acids (largely C18), rosin and neutral matter and finds use as a valuable raw material for the extraction of phytosterols

Mixed pitch is a by-product stream derived from the fractional distillation of crude tall oil & vegetable mixed acids. It comprises a combination of fatty acids (largely C18), rosin and neutral matter.
